DANI-RAE CLARK
& THE LETDOWNS

HAUNTING QUEER COUNTRY

Dani-Rae Clark & The Let Downs is a queer country band born in Vancouver BC, now based in Nashville, TN. Dani-Rae's music is deeply inspired by the country, folk and soul idols of the 40's, 50s and 60's, and in each performance they seek to invoke the spirit of the queers who were listening to those songs when they were fresh on the radio. From murder ballad to love song to euphoric escape song, Dani-Rae is linking old narratives to the current events that weigh on our hearts today.

Known for their crooning and thought provoking lyricism and described as sounding "like a cowboy dreaming of dried roses hanging from the wall of your crushes bedroom" - Dani-Rae plays all original songs on an old guitar backed by a lap steel player with supporting vocal harmonies to leave you a little bit haunted and a little in love.
